The Warriors Ultimate Director's Cut was released on DVD today.

While I love The Warriors with an almost perfect love, I'm not sure I'm willing to make the commitment to DVD ownership, especially since the website lists nothing under "about the DVD" other than a synopsis of the movie. As if anyone who didn't know anything about The Warriors would ever purchase the DVD based on the plotline alone.

There is a trailer on the website, which makes the movie look more like a video game than the spectacular b-movie that it is. So I'm not too excited about the DVD. Go to the site, watch the original trailer and then watch the "ultimate" trailer. Which movie looks better?

My point, I guess, is that there's no reason to mess with The Warriors, except to try to make money from geeks like me. I'm not falling for it. The original is all you need.
