"This is distasteful."

Somehow, I had lived over three decades in this city and never seen this breakwater at the end of Minnesota Point. I mean, I've probably been within 20 yards of it on several occasions. But I never noticed it, or if I did, I completely forgot about it.
If you think it might be fun to run out to the end of this and make the birds scatter like crazy, well, it is fun. But also, there's like a thousand birds out there at any given time. At certain points, it's like running through mayonaisse.

I like looking at all the seagull skeletons along the way. Seems they like to die there too..... This pic should be a banner (if it isn't already).

i liked the skeletons, too! but at first i thought they were the carcases of buffalo chicken wings swiped from the deck at grandma's.

Have you forgotten the thirstiest day of all time so soon?

On the thirstiest day of all time, Paul and I walked out to the end of the other breakwater, which you can see on the left side of the picture. That's no easy task, since it's made up of huge rocks and you have to leap from one to the next over dangerous, ankle-breaking crevices.
I do remember that day, but I think I was way too dehydrated to take note of the other, easier breakwater.
